In the heart of Styria, Riegersburg Castle sits enthroned atop an extinct volcano. It was first mentioned in 1138 as Rüdiger’s castle, or Ruotkerspurch. Hence the name.
Ruediger is a blend of five types of grain. Soft, chocolatey notes of corn and wheat, accompanied by full, spicy aromas of barley and spelt. The feisty rye provides a long finish. Matured in new, toasted wood. Distilled at the manufactory, matured in the neighboring house of whiskey, gin & rum.
