Elder grows wherever it isn't planted, along roadsides and behind barns. It is harvested in September, when the flower heads are fully ripe.

It is double-distilled in a copper still, without sugar or flavorings. 43 percent alcohol, no cask aging.

Playfully sweet and spicy, despite not having a single gram of sugar involved. The sweetness is an illusion, coming from notes of honey and almond. Almost too seductive on the palate; it's easy to lose track of how many glasses you've had.

Aus schwarzem Holunder, geerntet im September, wenn die Dolden voll ausgereift sind. Nicht aus Holunderblüten, sondern aus der Beere.
