Vintage 1999, a year with balanced weather. Very ripe damsons with a present acidity were used for distillation, and it is precisely this combination that still defines the brandy today.

XA stands for extra old. After years in the barrel, what remains is a reduction to the essentials: ripe damson and nothing to distract from it. 45 percent, 700 milliliters, hand-numbered.

A brandy that will still stand just as it does today, even in decades to come.

Extra alt. Diese Brände reifen weit über das üblich Maß hinaus, in Glasballons oder kleinen Holzfässern, und werden in einem eigens dafür gebauten Tresor verwahrt.

Weil es von jedem Jahrgang nur eine begrenzte Menge gibt und jede Flasche einem konkreten Jahr zugeordnet ist. Ist ein Jahrgang aus, kommt er nicht wieder.
