The premium bitter begins with a deadline: before June 24th, St. John's Day. Only then are the walnuts still green and soft enough to be cut with a knife, and only then do they possess the bitter compounds that are essential.

To this, herbs and roots are added. The color and bitter note come solely from the nuts; nothing else is added. 30 percent.

A bitter to be drunk, not sipped by the drop. Served neat, chilled, after a meal.

Weil nur die unreife Nuss die Bitterstoffe hat. Geerntet wird vor dem 24. Juni, dem Johannitag, solange die Schale noch grün und die Nuss mit dem Messer schneidbar ist. Farbe und Bitternote kommen allein daraus.
