Über diesen Brand
The Kriecherl is the ancestral form of the damson, a small wild plum that grows where no one has planted it. On embankments, at the edges of fields, by old fences.
Harvesting takes place in August. A Kriecherl yields less juice than a cultivated fruit, which is why this brandy requires more fruit for the same quantity. It is double-distilled in copper stills, without sugar or flavorings. 43 percent, no cask aging.
In taste, the Kriecherl is more subtle and delicate than the damson, with a hint of bitter almond. A quiet brandy, not a loud one.
